Hidden card fees rising faster than gas prices

Credit card fees continue to hammer convenience store owners, and a new study by the National Association of Convenience Store shows those fees increase when the price of gas rises.

The study shows as gas prices increased 80 percent between 2004 and 2011, card fees grew 180 percent. Even when gas prices level off, credit card fees don’t.
