Staying on top of industry trends
Part of the Premier team traveled to Hollywood, Fla., for the annual Payment Alliance International Market Partners Conference Nov. 11-12.
Premier President Kurt Karjalainen, wife Jolene, and account executive Seth Blank attended the event.
The conference provides a great avenue to keep up with the industry latest developments. Market partners are able to learn about the newest technology such as cardless and mobile payments, and meet vendors whose products may carry significant value for existing customers.
Of special interest this year was the presidential election, and how the pending administration change may affect the payments industry going forward. There were also many discussions revolved around EMV, which included how well EMV implementation is going and cases of EMV fraud already occurring after the Oct. 21, 2016, liability shift deadline.
Also, the keynote speaker was former college football coach Lou Holtz (pictured).
Premier attends this event every year to meet with top executives in the payment industry, and to keep evolving in an ever-changing business.
