What makes a great ATM location?

Finding a great ATM location can be tricky, but if you do find the right spot, it can pay off big time!

Many of our existing customers not only have ATMs in the locations they own, they also have placed ATMs in other businesses who wanted to offer the service of an ATM without doing any work.

Following are a few things to look for when finding an ATM location:

1. High-traffic area. Your chances of doing more ATM transactions increase when more people walk by the ATM. It’s a numbers game and the more the merrier.
2. A need for cash. ATMs offer a critical service for the un- or under-banked citizens, which accounts for over 30 million people in the United States according to a 2015 FDIC report. The ATM can often be the only way the these citizens to get cash. Also, ATMs work better in places that don’t allow cash back at the register.
3. Casinos, keno, or other gambling locations. Any place where people need cash to gamble is great for an ATM.
