Report: Americans taking out cash, bleeding ATMs dry

A March 19 report from Business Insider, suggests Americans a spike in Americans withdrawing cash from ATMs. The story says “An uptick in large withdrawals — ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to as much as $250,000 at once — has depleted the cash reserves of some US banks and credit unions, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.”
This is a reminder to all ATM owners to ensure their ATM has enough cash in it to handle these larger withdrawals. The story goes on to mention the risk consumers take on when holding onto large amounts of cash.
